At one time in 1979-1984. According to the draft of the complex anti-erosion melioration, more than 500 hectares (3.9% of the area of the economy) of eroded lands were introduced through technological and biological reclamation at the state farm of Lesnoy Tatischevsky district of the Saratov region. Capital costs for reclamation paid off on the 5th year of development. Backfill of ravines was carried out by a bulldozer on the basis of a tractor of class 6-8 t with a preliminary separation of the ravine into 50-60 m sections and filling with soil (lining) from the side of the rivet. Filling of ravines with a scraper was carried out through the mouth without division into sections, which increased labor productivity. In both cases, the backfilling technology was applied with the preservation of the fertile soil layer. The biological stage of reclamation of eroded lands consisted in the creation of agroforestry plantations, including planting on the pasture of the wings from a not eaten shrub (red elder). As a companion breed, when creating a forest belt, the elm was squat. The protective height of the forest strip is 8 m with the overlapping of the adjacent pasture. With the age of birch and ash, self-cleaning of the lower branches up to a height of 2 m occurred. Forest belts with shrub curtains cover the field - by 80%, and the shrub scenes by 40%.
