Biological factors of prognosis in patients with ovarian cancer

The content of DNA in tumor cells of 77 patients with I-IV-stage ovarian cancer was studied by the method of laser flow cytometry. Aneuploid type of the tumor was found in 81.8% of patients. The amount of aneuploid cells was found to have a minor effect on the disease prognosis. Two-year survival was significantly higher in the group of patients with diploid type of ovarian cancer.
