Biological methods of air quality assessment in urban territories on the example of the Togliatti city

Estimation of ecological state of environment in industrial city Togliatti has been carried out on the basis of using of biological methods of diagnostics. As biological indicators of state of environment coniferous plants of blue spruce Picea pungens f. Glauca, lichens and indexes of fluctuating asymmetry of birch leaves Betula pendula L. were used. Integral biological indication estimation of air of city territories is allowing to determine the zones with the biggest anthropogenic load of toxic air pollutants.
