Biomechanics as an academic discipline at higher schools of physical education

The article considers the peculiarities of the positioning of biomechanics in the system of modern academic disciplines. The analysis of the methodological aspects of teaching is presented. The ways of development in terms of interdisciplinary integration are described. The authors identifies the main problems of highly qualified specialists' training in biomechanics associated with insufficient display of the applied features of the discipline and its methodological support. The causes of the theoretical orientation to the content of practice-based training course and how to offset the existing emphasis in the formation of the appropriate educational-methodical complex are revealed.
