The main experimental trends of laboratory of selection of alliaceous crops of All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Selection and Seed Growing of Vegetable Crops (ASRISSGVC) were presented. The technologies of selective process were considered. The varieties of different onion species were described which were created in ARSISSGVC and suffered to the use in different regions of Russia. The priority lines of investigation in selection of alliaceous crops were discussed.
