Biotechnologies to reduce the influence of oil contamination on soil and water in the Republic of Bashkortostan

The article is devoted to the analysis of sources of soil and surface water pollution by oil and petroleum products in the Republic of Bashkortostan. The main causes of oil pollution of soils and waters and their possible future consequences are considered. The existing methods of cleaning soils and water bodies from oil pollution are presented. Promising developments in the field of biotechnology to reduce the impact of oil pollution are indicated. The biological method of purification with the use of the preparation developed in Ufa is analyzed, and the corresponding conclusions are made.
