Business in the Republic of Bashkortostan: opportunities and challenges

The article is devoted to the analysis of development measures and institutions created in the Republic of Bashkortostan to stimulate investment and support business. The institute of business sheriffs, PDAs and SEZ "ALGA" were studied. The programs of socio-economic development of territories and the role of industrial parks are considered. Positive and negative aspects of the impact on the economy were identified, including a long permit process, limited availability of credit, and policy uncertainty. It also highlights the impact of the new excess profits tax on business confidence.
