The author of this article analyzes the life of Tsar-Martyr Nicholas II and the extent to which it corresponds with the Beatitudes as expressed by the Evangelist Mathew. Te possibility of using the results of this analysis as an additional objective criterion in evaluating the phenomenon of sanctity is considered. Te author argues that one of the factors that needs to be considered in deciding the question of the canonization of modern saints is whether or not their life corresponds with the teachings of the Gospel, which can be achieved by analyzing their life. Te results are published here for the first time. Te article serves as a continuation of the first part, “Te Piety of Tsar-Martyr Nicholas II as a Subject of Scholarship.
