Theology of icon by priest Pavel Florensky: the metaphysics of the transfiguration of materiality

In this article the main objective is consideration of features of theological arts of priest Pavel Florensky. The scientific novelty of the submitted text is implemented to identify new and important aspects of artistic-theological system of views of priest Pavel Florensky, based on the solution of the problem of relations between the spiritual and the material, the interpenetration of the real and the sublime in the process of writing icons. The relevance of this study identified the importance for modern culture of spiritual- aesthetic, spiritual and moral resources that define the cultural level of civilization. The methodological basis of the article is cultural, historical, and comparative value methods. These methods determine the strategy of the scientific research and the results obtained.
