This article is presented with the aim of demonstrating the features of the editing of the Typiсon (1674–1682) using the example of individual fragments. The correction of the Typiсon, which led to its publication in 1682, was of course carried out within the framework of the great reform begun by Patriarch Nikon. The editors were the same people who had prepared the publications of liturgical books back in the 1650s. However, this period of the editors’ activity had its own characteristics. In addition to the fact that the approach to the text itself changed, the methods of working with it also changed. The editing of the statute was multi-stage, which is reflected in the extant proof copies. Thanks to the availability of these monuments in the reading rooms of The Russian State Archive of Ancient Acts and The State Historical Museum, it was possible to study in detail all stages and draw conclusions regarding the editors’ goals and objectives, the method of their work, and the sources on which they relied.
