Babin, and two researcher - N. I. Sverchkov, M. A. Protasov, who after a brief «investigation» and questioning (some of them issued after the execution of the sentence), shot. Repressions against the Museum staff were not related to their professional activities, but were based on social origin and «compromising» facts of biography: origin from the estates of Cossacks and clergy, service in the «white» army, social activities before the revolution. Museum staff were arrested in the framework of large fabricated by the NKVD in the Chelyabinsk region cases (they arrested more than a thousand people), rehabilitated in 1956.
