The article analyses the struggle of the Kurdish people for their independence against Ottoman and Persian oppression at the end of ХVIII - and in the first third of ХIХ centuries. Bright page in the liberation struggle of the Kurdish struggle was led by emir Soran Mir Mohammed in 1820-1830-ies. The need for centralization of the Ottoman Empire was motivated by repression in the early XIX century of Kurdish separatism. The Kurdish liberation movement in the reviewed period was a step in the development of consciousness of the people and left a mark in the history of the region.
