Contention of simbirsk landlords over estates and serfs in the second half of the 17th century

The article is devoted to lawsuits between Simbirsk nobles and so-called «boyar children» over estates and serfs. The reasons of lawsuits were various, for example: divisions of inheritance, forced captures of estates and serfs, escapes of serf and so on. The article is based mainly on published sources on Simbirsk County in the second half of the 17th century which have been poorly examined before.
