Simeon the Proud marriage with Mariya Alexandrovna in the context of the Moscow-Tver relations

The article deals with one of the key marriages between representatives of the two leading centers of Moscow and Tver, which played an important role in political relations in the North-Eastern Rus in the middle of the XIV century. The author analyses the reasons and circumstances that led to the marriage and studies the interests of both sides, as well as its consequences. Special attention is paid to the family life of spouses and the later transmission, according to the testament of the Prince of Moscow, of his Mozhaisk-Kolomna principality to the widow.
