This article presents the characteristics of the most popular browsers in Russia. The history of their creation is mentioned. The rating made on the basis of characteristics, and a rating on the basis of popularity in Russia is compared. The substantiation of their divergence is given. It is said about new developments of browsers. It is concluded that the browser of the future should be simple, convenient, fast and multifunctional.
