BRICS and Russia’s new role in the global partnership

The article analyses the process of Russia’s involvement into the global economic and finance integration. BRICS is a viable alternative to the G-7. A close cooperation with the BRICS states provides the Russian Federation an access to the new emerging finance and economic markets, but it also reveals the major problems Russia has to tackle in order to assert its leading position in the global politics.
