British anti-Americanism of the early XXIth century in European context

The author deals with the long-term and short-term causes of British anti-Americanism in the early XXIth century. The evolution of British society's attitudes to the US and its policy is examined on the basis of considerable amount of statistics. The comparison of British attitudes to the US with the European ones (French and German in particular) allows to reveal the specificity of British anti-Americanism.
