Bryansk herbarium of the Komarov Botanical Institute of the RAS (LE) and Chernihiv Botanical Expedition under the leadership of I.I. Sprygin

Information on the presence of unaccounted herbarium samples from the territory of the former northern counties of Chernihiv Province (current territory of Bryansk Region) is provided. The most numerous herbarium collection was collected by the expedition of 1912-1915 to survey the natural conditions of the Chernihiv Province under the direction of N.A. Dimo. The botanical and geographical work in the expedition was headed by I.I. Sprygin, and due to the large volume of work his students M.G. Popov, K.E. Gomerov, M.V. Kultiasov and E.P. Korovin participated in the expedition. It is assumed that at least 2 000 sheets collected by the Chernihiv Geobotanical Expedition should be stored in the LE, and at least 4 000 sheets have been collected from the territory of the region.
