Bronze heads from the sacrificial pits of Sanxingdui and the reconstruction of interior details of ancient temples

This article presents a brief review of the most specific feature of Sanxingdui bronze age culture, spread in Sichuan province of the PRC - bronze masked heads, found in sacrificial pits. The authors state that those pits were the results of the intended attempts made by ancient people of Sanxingdui to transfer their temples from this world to the other one. Examples of the reconstruction of the details of the interior of those temples are given.
