The current systemic crisis of modern industrial civilization is manifested in negative trends in economic, social, cultural and political spheres of society. Religious and philosophical doctrine of Buddhism can help to overcome this crisis. The ethical concepts of Buddhism contain not only universal humanistic values of human existence, but also, above all, the idea, that life is a great value. The Buddhist ethics is based on the idea that humans and all living beings should implement and demonstrate personal potency and ability to achieve the ideal state of enlightenment - the highest embodiment of humanism - during their lifetime.
