It is extremely important to understand the role that Arctic fossil fuel reserves will play in the development and geopolitics of the Arctic region. The article analyzes the latest trends in global energy, with a special emphasis on renewable energy sources, and considers the demand for fossil fuels in the future. Particular attention is paid to Arctic LNG projects.
