In article value of the balance sheet as main form of accounting (financial) reports is disclosed. The structure of the balance sheet according to the Russian legislation is presented in detail. The correct interpretation of the balance sheet data is necessary to control the presence, movement and structure of the organization's property and the sources of its formation, as well as to analyze the financial condition of the enterprise.
