Ways to improve the properties of bitumen using modifiers

The article is devoted to the study of bitumen properties and modification methods to improve performance in the road industry. Various modifying additives are considered, in particular polymer compounds and surfactants, and their effect on the physicochemical parameters of bitumen, such as adhesion and resistance to temperature effects. The article presents the results of studying bitumen with improved properties due to the addition of rapeseed oil and DST, and evaluates the effectiveness of sulfonate additives. In conclusion, the importance of the correct choice of modifiers to increase the service life of the road surface is emphasized.
