Buryat national holydays in the context of the theory of acculturation

This article is devoted to changes in the celebration Sagaalgan, Surharban as important components of traditional culture of Buryats in the context of the theory of acculturation. The author points out appearance of new forms of celebration under the influence of globalization processes. She also points at aspiration of the Buryat ethnos to pass from assimilation to adaptation to new conditions of preservation the cultural identity.
