Buryats in the XVII-th - XVIII-th centuries in historiography of English speaking researchers

The article considers the works of English speaking authors about Buryats in the XVII-th - XVIII-th centuries. The author studies how foreign scientists determine the nature of Russian colonization of Siberia, highlight the relationships between indigenous and migrant groups of population, assess the policy of Russification and Christianization of one of the indigenous peoples of Siberia.
