Life during the NEP: management of old and new (historiographical note)

The article covers the main modern approaches to the study of life in the period of NEP as an integral part of everyday life history of the twenties of the last century. The author, speaking about «rehabilitation» scientific perspective of everyday life, says a number of circumstances of the theoretical and methodological plan that influenced the formation of new directions of research of a new economic policy. The paper examines the major trends in the study of urban and rural life (including, life нэпманов and «former»), as well as the everyday practices of survival in the years of the famine of 1921-1922 years. As output have been the main achievements and «gaps» in the study of this problem.
