"Casus belli" - modern shades of global opposition"

The article shows the significance of the policy of nuclear deterrence as the main imperative that ensures the exclusion of «casus belli» from the military sphere of global confrontation; however, even non-military instruments of global pressure (sanctions) are capable of inflicting unacceptable damage on the opposing sides. Possible directions of interaction between Russia and China are identified in countering the well-known «Ukrainian» anti-Russian sanctions, as well as possible anti-Chinese sanctions in the aggravation of the geopolitical situation around Taiwan. The narrowing of the export-import economic activities of the two countries under the US sanctions restrictions, as well as the expansion of maritime cooperation using elements of the air- and sea-based nuclear triad, was confirmed.
