The expediency of intra-articular injections of hyaluronic acid preparations in the treatment of patients with ankle fractures

Introduction: ankle fracture frequency is 9% among all skeletal bone fractures. A long time has been studied, and methods of treatment and rehabilitation of patients with ankle fractures are being improved, but the frequency of unsatisfactory results reaches up to 39%.The purpose of the study was: to study and compare the effect of intra-articular injections of the hyaluronic acid drug on the course of the rehabilitation period in patients with ankle fractures after surgical treatment.Methods: our study included 114 people with ankle fractures requiring surgical treatment, which were divided into 2 groups. The comparison group was represented by 58 patients who underwent surgical treatment and in the postoperative period, rehabilitation measures were carried out according to the standard protocol.
