The necessity of this study is due to the importance of studying the value-semantic sphere of the personality of convicts in places of deprivation of liberty. Of particular relevance is the study of the value-semantic sphere of the personality of those convicted of corruption crimes. The empirical study was conducted in a specialized high-security colony of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Stavropol Territory. The empirical study involved 103 convicts of the specified colony from among those convicted of committing criminal offenses in the field of corruption. As a result of psychological diagnostics, it was found that the dominant psychological feature of those convicted of corruption crimes is the egocentric orientation of their personality. They are characterized by a desire for profit, prestige and success and at the same time do not appreciate other people, regardless of their proximity or belonging to any group. The specifics of the value-semantic sphere of those convicted of corruption crimes are achievement, power, hedonism (values of self-affirmation). Convicts of this category are focused on achieving personal success through the manifestation of competence, strive to have control over people and resources.
