The article is devoted to the analysis of youth value orientations dynamics in the context of contemporary Russian political processes. The given paper presents the results of a comparative analysis of respondents' attitude to political institutions from 2006 to 2016 and identifies social environment factors that affect young people's political mindsets. The need to regularly monitor the axiological consciousness of pupils and students is substantiated for timely identifying and predicting the Russian Federation external and internal national security threats and developing programs aimed at building and strengthening political relations culture and at early prevention of extremism and conflicts among young people.
