The article deals with J. Baudrillard’s speculations on the phenomenon of values disappearing in the postmodern society. J. Baudrillard considers the modern state of the society as “after orgy", defining the “orgy" as a moment of liberation. Having analyzed the theses of J. Baudrillard’s theory, the authors find the confirmation of the fact that postmodern interpretation of the world such as a decentered, fragmented, disordered and devoid of cause-and-effect relationship complies with the nature of the social reality of the postmodern era.
