Central European forest experiment station - 65 years old

The article presents a historical overview of the activities of the Central European Forest Experimental Station for 65 years of its existence. During this period, the Central European Forestry Experimental Station has gone a long way of formation, made a significant contribution to the development of forestry not only in the area of activity, but also far beyond its borders. The purpose of the Station is to provide scientific support for forestry production in the area of its activity (Kostroma, Nizhny Novgorod, Ivanovo, Yaroslavl and Kirov regions). The main areas of research: forestry, silvicultural, selection and seed production, non-wood plant resources of the forest, clonal micropropagation of plants. Directions for further development are identified.
