The article presents the chronological features of the construction of the Church of St. John the Baptist, displays the characteristic features of Byzantine architecture, through a number of preserved frescoes and architectural monuments. The study of this article is aimed at identifying the historical and cultural significance of this architectural monument. Today, Christianity is a world religion, the study of the heritage of which does not cease to be significant not only for believers, but also for historians and art historians, remaining relevant today.
