Parish activity of the Nikolay Ivoninsky, priest of the resurrection church in the Village Zhuravlevo of Suglitsky churchyard (to the 80th anniversary of the martyr’s death)

In the article based on archival data restored some features of the biography of the priest Nicholay Dormidontovich Ivoninsky, who was shot in Leningrad in 1938. Using the documents of the four archives, and some published material, it was discovered that about thirty years he has served in the Church of the Resurrection on Suglitsky pogost (the current territory of the Boksitogorsky district of Leningrad region). Analysis of the clergy sheets as the prerevolutionary period and the beginning of the 1920s. allowed to find out the place of birth, education, career and information about the family of the priest. These documents also give an idea of the life of the parish and the number of parishioners who are ruled by father Nicholay. The documents of the Soviet period of the 1930s indirectly trace the oppression of the priest and his family from the official authorities. The exact dates of birth of father Nicholas, his wife, mother Mary, as well as most of the children were discovered. It was found out that the main measure of oppression of the priest’s family in the first half of the 1930s was the deprivation of electoral rights. It is shown that the death sentence of the priest was pronounced on Palm Sunday, and he was shot on Tuesday Bright week.
