The article discusses the activities of priests and clergy of the temple of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in XIX century. The author pays attention to the frequent dynastic succession of the church clergy offices, estimates the age composition and the family composition of the clergy, their educational level; he also discusses the practice of rewarding the clergy.
