The church peal in the mount Athos history of the turn of 19th - early 20th centuries

The article is dedicated to the evolvement of the church peal tradition at the Mount Athos cenobies at the turn of 19-20th centuries. Based on the pilgrimage chronicles the author considers historical and cultural significance and symbolic consecrating of peal of bells in Russian St. Pantaleon’s monastery.
