The article discusses the forensic characteristics of crimes as a part of the theory of evidences. The author justifies the impossibility to recognize the forensic characteristics of crimes as an independent criminalistics theory. It is concluded that the debate continuing for decades about the nature of the forensics characteristics of crimes is the result of inadequate study of its methodological framework. The author proves that the creation of the forensic psychological profile of a crime committer requires application of all subtypes of forensic analysis.
