The risk of complications development, that develop during the long tubular bones osteosynthesis both during and after the operation, persists in conditions of traumacenter of any level. Methods of surgical treatment of injured with long limb bones fractures are being improved. Manufacturers of leading native and foreign firms have created different types of metal constructions, that provide satisfying bone apposition and immobilization. Nevertheless, the frequency of both local and general complications in the process of intervention on long tubular bones has no steady tendency to reduction. Therefore, data on occurrence frequency and structure of complications (both general, and operative wound related), that develop in the process of long limb bones osteosynthesis, assist to possibilities enhancement of prophylaxis algorithms development to such complications, which is actual for medical science and practice. Present literature review allows specialists to navigate in the state of this question to date.
