Chelyabinsk training auto-armored center (1941-1945). Little-known pages of the Great Patriotic War

The article represents the characteristics of the activity of Chelyabinsk Training Auto-armored Center in the Urals at the initial period of the Great Patriotic War. It discovers that at the first months of the war at the places of production of armor there have been forming centers of developing mastership of tankers, thus in future having defined the determinant role of the Urals in the formed system of training armor sections. By the example of the training troops of the center it was indicated that with broadening production of tanks and with specialization of it in the Urals there had been broadening both the geography of the center tank troops and the range of specialization of the tankers training.It was proved that the given unit had been transformed into the united duly authorized center, regulating and controlling all the process of training tankers in the Urals, from specialty training till putting military companies into the field, and this has been scheduled together with production of tanks by the tank plants in Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk, Nizhniy Tagil. Finally, on the ground of the information about the center activity, the conclusion was done that all the tanks, produced by the Urals tank plants, had left for the front with the trained crews.
