Human capital: concept, measurement, significance in modern conditions

The article shows that at the present stage of development, the importance of a person in society is increasing and human capital occupies a dominant position in the structure of factors of production. The results of the study of the genesis and development of the concept of "human capital" are presented. A review of indicators measuring human capital has been conducted. It is concluded that the beneficial return on investment in human capital contributes to improving the quality of life of the population, maintaining its growth trends in the long term, and sustainable development of the country.
