The article presents the results of the analysis of vocabulary representing the conflictual relationships between man and authorities in dialectal and literary discourses. The analysis of linguistic facts allows us to conclude that the conceptualization of the relationships between authorities and the rank-and-file member of the community, embodied in the language has significant differences in the traditional society and in the modern urban environment.
