Features of religious worldview identified in homeless citizens and important for pastoral work of religious socialization (inchurching)

The article deals with the problem of evaluating the prospects for religious socialization (inchurching) of certain categories of people getting help from Church social ministry projects based by example of the homeless. The idea offered is that of evaluation of the possibility of religious socialization of beneficiaries through detailing their religious beliefs. After a questionnaire survey of a small sample of homeless beneficiaries, a suggestion is made that a certain part of them is not quite ready for inchurching because of distorted (judging from the norm of religious consciousness) religious beliefs, and also points out possible specific distortions that require significant efforts to be corrected. Also it is also indicated that it is necessary to distinguish the understanding of faith as cultural identity from faith as personal religiosity, which is essential in determining pastoral strategy.
