Officials in social stratification of the Mongolian society in the period of the Qing empire

The article examines the peculiarities of the aristocratic bureaucratic apparatus in the military-administrative system of the Qing Empire in External Mongolia. The author presents the social structure of the bureaucratic apparatus of the Mongolian society based on archival materials and analysis of published works. The purposeful creation by the Qing authorities of a multistage system of titles and positions, according to which the Mongolian officials were paid, is noted.
