Numerical simulation of superhard material grains separation process during coolant cleaning

This paper presents the results of finite element modeling of abrasive grains separation process during coolant cleaning with software ANSYS Fluent. The simulation result obtained: form of the free surface of the thin liquid film flow in a centrifugal force field, distribution of flow velocities, tracks of solid particles in liquid film flow and air as a function of their diameter from 1 to 100 microns.
