Number of Ural urban population on preliminary results of All-Union population census in 1937

The article is devoted to the analysis of number of urban population in Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions on the basis of the materials which have remained in archives of АН-Union population census on January 6, 1937. The Author defines scales and considers the reasons of divergences of the data of census and calculation of the population of 1936.
