Digital literacy as a development factor social capital

The relevance of this article is determined by the fact that social capital, which is the subject of the author's research, is considered in modern society as an important basis for influencing digital literacy. The article reveals the theoretical and methodological problems of the analysis of social capital and digital literacy. A study was made of one of the tools for measuring social capital in the modern information space. The author used the following research methods: deduction, induction, review of scientific publications, comparative analysis of statistical data, description method. As a result of the study, the following conclusions were drawn: 1) the nature of digitalization is determined by the quality and quantity of accumulated virtual social capital, which is also expressed in financial literacy; 2) in a society in which the Internet is actively used, conditions are created for the growth of digital and financial literacy; 3) the state either creates incentives or, due to the lack of adequate methods of regulation, hinders the process of financial literacy among the population.
