Digital transformation of the economy: problems, prospects and its impact on economic security

The article explores key aspects of the digital transformation of the economy, including the impactof digitalization on business processes, the use of digital technologies across economic sectors, and the assurance of economic security. The author analyzes the dynamics of changes in the digitalization index of Russian economic sectors, identifying leaders and laggards in digital transformations. Special attention is given to thebarriers to the implementation of digital technologies, such as legal restrictions, insufficient infrastructure readiness, and a lack of competencies, as well as the importance of platform-based business models that transform traditional markets. The article emphasizes the necessity of a systematic approach to adapting digital solutions and ensuring balanced development across industries to minimize the risks of digitalization and enhance the economy's competitiveness in the long term.
