The article reviews empirical research on the digital transformation of the Russian financial market and defines the place of the digital transformation of the banking sector in the overall global space. The development of digital technologies in the financial market was defined as one of the most important directions of state policy in the sphere of digitalization of the economy. Modern financial technologies in the financial market in the field of digitalization were analyzed and the main participants of the financial technology market were identified.
