Today, Russia is at a new stage in the development of the national economy, implementing the digital transformation of economic and production systems. Personnel is a key factor for the successful functioning of any organization, from small and medium-sized businesses to large corporations and government agencies. It is necessary to qualitatively build a personnel development system in order to form a stable and professional team of an oil company. The aim of the work is to analyze the trends in the digital transformation of the knowledge management system. The paper analyzes approaches to the development of a knowledge management system, digital tools that improve the efficiency of developing the potential of young employees at oil and gas enterprises. Knowledge management is the basis for the development of the professional qualities of employees, which affects both the increase in the efficiency of their work and the competitiveness of the enterprise as a whole.
