Digitalization of archival and library collections: reengineering of the appearance of objects of technology in the form of 3D models

The prospects and directions of using 3-D modeling technologies in the processes of reengineering the appearance of objects of technology are revealed. The emphasis is on the appearance, without touching on the elements of design solutions. This approach is justified by the poor presentation of documentation on the appearance of objects of technology, while the design documentation is presented in detail and in detail, which makes the topic particularly relevant. Recreating the external appearance is becoming an increasingly important task, which can be solved using 3-D modeling technologies, which allows you to accurately recreate the external appearance of an object. Given the importance of the issue for the technological development of the country, the authors propose to develop a National program for digitizing archival funds.
